How the chart works
The rules the calculator applies, in the order they are applied.
EuroBonus prices awards on its SkyTeam and bilateral partners from a fixed zone chart. The world is split into nine zones (Europe, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, South America, North and Central Africa with the Middle East, Southern Africa, Central, East and South Asia, South East Asia, and the Pacific), and each zone pair has one points price per cabin. Where the journey starts and ends decides the price, not how far it is: Copenhagen to London costs the same as Lisbon to Helsinki.
A one-way award is half a round trip, exactly. Children aged 2 to 11 pay 50% of the points; infants under 2 without a seat pay none. Taxes and carrier fees are always paid in money, and partner bookings carry SAS's booking fee of EUR 50 per traveller online. Flights wholly within Denmark, Norway, Sweden, mainland France or Spain price from a cheaper domestic row.
Awards on SAS's own flights use a different table: five route categories with published fixed levels, which dynamic pricing can exceed once the saver seats are gone. That is why an SAS-operated fare sometimes costs more than the level shown here, and why partner awards, whose prices cannot move, are often the better value in business class.
